  Clinical Evaluation:

  • Review of existing clinical evaluation tools with feedback
  • Facilitation of the revision of clinical evaluation tools (CETs)
  • Assistance with establishing validity and inter-reliability of CETs

  Concept-Based Curriculum:

  • Current national trends in concept-based curriculum (CBC) development: Purist vs. modified/hybrid models
  • Facilitation for the development of an effective CBC nursing curriculum, including faculty development, and supportive guidance and direction for faculty during the process
  • Review of new curricular documents with ongoing feedback and recommendations

  Curriculum Revision:

  • Review of current curriculum with recommendations for changes/revision needed to reflect national trends and best practices
  • Facilitation of curriculum revision process, including faculty development and ongoing guidance and direction
  • Review of all new curriculum documents to ensure compliance with state regulations and accreditation standards
  • Assistance with board of nursing and accreditation substantive change reports
  • Expanding cultural diversity and competence in the nursing curriculum
  • Incorporating LGBTQ content into the nursing curriculum

  NCLEX®-Style Test Writing:

  • Review of existing sample faculty unit exams with feedback
  • Recommendations for revisions of exams
  • Guidance and feedback for individual faculty to improve test writing
  • Guidance in developing faculty policies on test writing and analysis

  Systematic Program Evaluation:

  • Total program review to determine areas for improvement to achieve program outcomes (e.g., NCLEX® pass rates, employer and new graduate surveys)
  • Guidance in refining SPE to meet regulatory and accreditation requirements
  • Total nursing department review for recommendations for changes related to the future of nursing and need for levels of nursing personnel
